About This Role
DST LLC is hiring a First Officer to fly the Beechcraft King Air (advertised as B300 in the title and B350 in the requirements) out of Hagerstown, Maryland. The First Officer assists the Pilot-in-Command in the safe, legal, and efficient conduct of all flight operations under FAA regulations and the DST Flight Operations Manual, covering flying and navigation, flight planning, ATC coordination of special activities, preflight checks, in-flight monitoring, and post-flight tasks. When directed by the PIC, the First Officer communicates with customers to ensure a clear understanding of flight and schedule objectives with safety as the first priority, applies effective Crew Resource Management, briefs all flight participants on safety and egress procedures before flight, reports mechanical issues to the Maintenance Department and Chief Pilot, and assists in completing aircraft time-tracking and manifest documents. This full-time, entry-level position typically runs a 14-day on / 14-day off rotation with 12-14 hour workdays, evening and weekend work as customer demand requires, standby duty requiring report to the Hagerstown facility within 24 hours, and travel that includes extended overnight stays.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Pilot-in-Command in flying and navigating the aircraft and in the safe, legal, and efficient conduct of all flight operations.
- Perform pre-flight planning and inspections, conduct safe flight operations, navigate and fly the aircraft, monitor in flight, communicate with air traffic control, and complete post-flight inspections.
- Coordinate special activities with ATC and, when directed by the PIC, communicate with customers to ensure a clear understanding of flight and schedule objectives with safety first.
- Apply effective Crew Resource Management, brief all flight participants on safety and egress procedures before flight, report any mechanical issues or concerns to the Maintenance Department and Chief Pilot, and assist the PIC in completing aircraft administration documents for time tracking and manifest.

Requirements
- a high school diploma or equivalent
- a Commercial certificate with Airplane Multi-Engine Land (AMEL) and Airplane Single-Engine Land with commercial privileges
- an Instrument Airplane rating
- and a minimum of 500 hours total time for the B350
Preferred Qualifications
- a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 750 hours total time for the B350. Other hiring requirements: a current passport with unrestricted international travel privileges
- a current FAA First or Second Class Medical
- a valid driver's license
- proof of U.S. citizenship on the first day of employment
- the ability to hold or obtain at minimum a DOD Top Secret security clearance
- and passing a DOT/FAA-regulated drug screening.
