About This Role
Empire Airlines is hiring an ATR Captain in Belgrade, Montana, to conduct safe, efficient, compliant and professional Part-121 flight operations. The role combines command of the aircraft through all phases of flight with operational decision-making, crew and staff leadership, regulatory compliance, communication with dispatch and air traffic services, and accurate completion of required reports and company documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely maneuver the aircraft during all phases of flight
- monitor weather, cargo safety and other flight conditions
- make go/no-go decisions
- verify fuel requirements and loading
- and select alternate destinations when necessary. Maintain command during unexpected circumstances and ensure effective communication with stations, towers, flight controllers and dispatchers. File FAA reports, report unusual aircraft behavior or performance to dispatch or maintenance, record flight hours with Dispatch, comply with FAA rest requirements and company directives, and maintain current knowledge of regulations, procedures, manuals, handbooks and company policies. Supervise and evaluate staff, serve as a constructive and communicative leader, review daily bulletins and correspondence, submit accurate and timely transmittals and expense reports, maintain an ethical and professional work environment, support Empire Airlines’ mission, and perform other related duties as assigned.
What We Offer
Starting pay is $2,500.00 to $2,775.00 weekly, or $130,000 to $144,000 annually.Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k) matching, travel benefits and CASS privileges.
Requirements
- The role requires an ATP certificate with MEL rating, a first-class medical, excellent oral and written communication skills, and adherence to the company’s FAA/DOT Drug and Alcohol Program.
- Minimum flight experience is 2,500 total time, 1,000 PIC hours, 1,000 MEL hours, 300 turbine or turboprop hours, and 500 crew hours under Part 121.436.
- Pilots must maintain IFR currency and proficiency.
