The Western Canada cargo operation uses turbine-powered, pressurized, high-performance Metro aircraft and offers exposure to hand-flying, multi-engine, instrument-weather, two-crew and mountain flying. The First Officer assists the Captain with safe, efficient and timely operations, while the YYC crew typically flies 2-3 times per week on a Monday to Friday rotation and returns to home base daily; competitive compensation, ongoing training and internal advancement are also highlighted.
Duties & Responsibilities
- As a cargo First Officer in Western Canada, the pilot flies turbine-powered, pressurized, high-performance Metro aircraft in a two-crew operation, building experience in hand-flying, multi-engine, instrument-weather and mountain flying.
- The First Officer assists the Captain in performing the Captain's duties safely, efficiently and in a timely manner, in accordance with prescribed regulations, customer requirements and company expectations.

Requirements
- The posting requires a Commercial Pilot Licence with a multi-engine IFR rating and no Transport Canada violations or suspensions.
- Preferred qualifications are 500 hours of total flight time, 100 hours of multi-engine flight time, written IATRA examinations, Metroliner experience and an aviation diploma.
- Applicants must also demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail, computer skills and familiarity with the Internet, and good oral and written communication skills.
- Successful applicants must sign a Training Bond Agreement unless they already hold a current type rating for the SW4 aircraft.
