About This Role
Jet Access is seeking a typed and current CJ3 (CE-525B) Captain for a home-based US position reporting to the Chief Pilot. The Captain serves as the senior crewmember, exercises command authority and operational control, makes final safety-based go/no-go decisions, and leads assigned First Officers. The role covers managed and charter operations under FAR Parts 135 and 91, including detailed flight planning, premium client service, aircraft and maintenance coordination, regulatory documentation, international operations, and pilot mentorship. It involves domestic and international travel, extended overnight and multi-day assignments, evening and weekend availability, routine on-call periods, and an 8/6 rotation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain sets the safety, airmanship, professionalism, and service standard for each assignment while leading the crew and representing Jet Access to aircraft owners and passengers. Responsibilities include mentoring First Officers, providing constructive post-flight feedback, building an environment of open communication and shared accountability, and reporting development observations to the Chief Pilot. The Captain conducts operations in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual, applicable FARs, and company policy
- exercises operational control for the Director of Operations
- makes final go/no-go decisions
- maintains required proficiency and currency
- leads flight planning, weather analysis, NOTAM review, and crew preparation
- and ensures compliance with flight-time, duty-time, and rest limitations. Client duties include delivering personalized premium service, coordinating itinerary changes and special requests with the Operations Control Center, conducting passenger briefings, managing in-flight service, and maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor. Aircraft responsibilities include reviewing flight and maintenance logs, verifying airworthiness, overseeing preflight, post-flight, and routine servicing, documenting engine-trend data, checking manuals, charts, and required equipment, and coordinating timely maintenance. The Captain must accurately complete flight, aircraft, and passenger records
- act as Ground and In-flight Security Coordinator where applicable
- verify international travel documents
- coordinate customs and immigration requirements
- comply with FAA, ICAO, and foreign-authority rules
- and undertake special projects supporting company growth.

Requirements
- Candidates must hold an ATP certificate and a current First Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum experience is 3,000 hours of total flight time, 1,500 hours as Pilot-in-Command, 500 hours of multi-engine PIC time, 250 hours PIC in type on the CE-525B, and 250 hours of turbine PIC time on the assigned aircraft.
- Initial or recurrent training on the required aircraft type must have been completed within the preceding 12 months.
- Applicants need working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations governing FAR Part 135 and Part 91 operations, a valid state driver’s license and passport, and proficiency with digital flight-planning tools, avionics systems, and web or mobile flight applications.
- They must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening, maintain the FAA medical and physical standards for Part 135 PIC operations, and be able to undertake domestic and international travel, extended duty periods, overnight operations, multi-day assignments, evening and weekend work, and routine on-call periods.
