About This Role
ASEC is seeking a full-time Training Expert - P-8A Pilot/Flight Instructor in Jacksonville, Florida, to enhance P-8A pilot proficiency and mission readiness through high-quality simulator, classroom, and flight instruction. The role delivers mission-focused training on site and at customer locations, conducts pilot evaluations covering mission planning, systems knowledge, and operational procedures, and provides structured feedback to support pilot qualification, proficiency, and professional development. The position also involves maintaining training documentation, collaborating with subject-matter experts and program personnel, promoting safety and compliance, occasional weekend instruction, and up to 25% annual CONUS and OCONUS travel. Applicants need at least eight years of operational flight experience with substantial P-8A time, P-8A instructor qualification or prior qualification, relevant military or FAA pilot certifications, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Duties & Responsibilities

- collaborate with SMEs, instructors, and program personnel to ensure training accuracy and consistency
- promote a strong safety culture and adherence to operational and training standards
- support occasional weekend instruction
- travel up to 25% annually, both CONUS and OCONUS
- and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Minimum requirement: eight years of operational flight experience, including substantial time in the P-8A aircraft. Prior P-8A Pilot Instructor or Evaluator experience is strongly preferred, along with extensive experience in fleet or training-squadron environments such as an FRS or operational unit. Candidates should have strong knowledge of P-8A aircraft systems and operations, Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance mission sets, Crew Resource Management principles, simulator-based training environments, and modern training technologies. Experience supporting simulator instruction in a training or operational setting is a plus. Advanced instructor qualifications or designations such as WTI or MTS are preferred. The certification requirements call for P-8A Pilot Instructor qualification or previous qualification and relevant military or FAA pilot certifications
- NATOPS Instructor or Evaluator designation is preferred. The role also requires collaborative relationship-building, strong verbal and written communication, a proactive and independent work style, analytical problem-solving ability, and strong organization while balancing competing priorities. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance are required, while an active Secret clearance is preferred.
