About This Role
Lockheed Martin seeks a senior staff test pilot to support the F-16 test squadron at Edwards AFB and expand into additional aircraft programs. The role provides mature leadership and technical guidance across experimental, developmental, production, engineering, customer demonstration, and other flight-test activities, including performance analysis, requirements development, flight-test planning, execution, and reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The test pilot tests aircraft for compliance with specifications and operational suitability, operates test aircraft during engineering flight tests, production acceptance, and flight-test support, and performs prescribed tests and maneuvers.
- Responsibilities include coordinating flight-operations efforts, approving cockpit configurations, conducting customer and government demonstration flights, providing F-16 performance subject-matter expertise, developing requirements, supporting market assistance, planning flight tests, preparing run cards, executing tests, and reporting results across all F-16 models.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold a suitable FAA commercial pilot certificate for single-engine land and instrument airplane operations, maintain a current FAA Class I or II medical certificate, and have 1,000 hours of first-pilot time in a tactical aircraft.
- A DOD Test Pilot School graduate is required, along with F-16 flying experience.
- The position requires willingness to travel and a valid U.S. passport.
- Experience with flight sciences or mission-system testing in a tactical aircraft is highly desirable, and a SECRET security clearance is desired.
