About This Role
Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced Test Pilot to join their flight test team for their innovative piloted air taxi aircraft currently in FAA certification. The role involves planning and executing flight test activities for experimental CTOL/VTOL fly-by-wire aircraft, including both remote UAV and inhabited flight tests. Candidates must be long-course graduates of a recognized test pilot school with at least 3 years of post-training flight test experience and a minimum of 1,000 hours PIC. Requirements
- Long course graduate of recognized test pilot school or equivalent on-the-job training
- Minimum 3 years additional flight test experience post training
- At least 50 hours experimental or certification flight test experience as test pilot
- Bachelor's of Science degree or equivalent experience and training
- Fixed Wing and/or Rotorcraft Commercial Certificate
- Minimum 1,000 hours pilot in command flight time
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work extended hours and travel as required
- Proficient in reading and speaking English
- VSTOL, DER or AR qualification desired
