Lockheed Martin is hiring a C-130J Test Pilot for its C-130 Flight Operations team at the Marietta, GA plant, where the team conducts acceptance check flights of newly assembled C-130J aircraft and flight test of modified aircraft. The test pilot plans, develops and executes experimental test flights on C-130J, C-5M and other AMMM aircraft to verify airworthiness, determine performance capability, validate spec compliance and assess operational suitability, and also flies production acceptance and functional check flights, delivery and ferry flights, airshow demonstrations and customer demonstration flights. The role additionally develops and reviews ground and flight test plans, writes Temporary Operating Procedures and Aircraft Operating Limitations, updates aircraft flight manuals, and provides classroom, simulator and flight instruction for company and customer aircrew. Basic qualifications are a US DOD-approved Military Test Pilot School graduate with at least 1500 hours multiengine PIC, 100 hours PIC on engineering/acceptance flights in multiengine transport type aircraft, experimental flight test experience, an FAA Commercial Pilot or ATP certificate, current or former military Instructor Pilot qualification, a current FAA Second or First Class medical and a Secret security clearance. The position is onsite full-time in Marietta on a 4x10 schedule with 3 days off per week, requires US citizenship and special facility access, and relocation is possible.
