Elizabeth City State University seeks a Temporary Flight Instructor for the Department of Aviation and Emergency Management. Position requires FAA Flight Instructor certification and current Medical Certificate. This is a temporary, part-time role (Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, occasional weekends) supporting the university's accredited Aviation Science degree program in North Carolina.
Requirements
- Current FAA Medical Certificate
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certification
- Aircraft piloting skills including knowledge of flight maneuvers and procedures
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
- Ability to apply effective instructional techniques in classroom and flight
- Knowledge of University academic, administrative and operational procedures
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, noisy environment
- Sound judgment at all times
- FAA Instrument Instructor (CFII) certification highly desired
- Multi-engine Instructor (MEI) certification highly desired
- Airplane Single and Multiengine certifications highly desired
- Instrument Airplane certification highly desired
- Satisfactory criminal background check required
- Proper documentation of identity and employment eligibility
