About This Role
Airbus Blagnac is seeking a Synthetic Flight Instructor for a non-flying position at the Airbus Training Centre in Toulouse. The instructor will train airline crews transitioning to Airbus aircraft on operational and technical subjects using fixed-base simulators, classroom instruction, Airbus pilot training devices, and full-flight simulators. The role focuses on delivering standardized training, ensuring crews can perform normal and emergency procedures safely and correctly, evaluating progress, and providing additional training when required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The instructor will teach airline crews converting to Airbus on all operational and technical aspects of the relevant aircraft type or types. Duties include instructing crews with fixed-base simulators, classroom facilities, Airbus pilot training devices, and full-flight simulators
- delivering stand-up lectures
- and ensuring crews can safely and correctly perform all normal and emergency procedures required by airworthiness authorities. The instructor must follow Airbus Flight Training Operations policies and standardization requirements, deliver instruction within defined time limits, evaluate crew progression, and determine when an additional session is needed to reach the required proficiency level. The role may also involve delivering specific courses such as ETOPS and performance training after the required indoctrination, as well as participating in course development and standardization instruction.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold or have held a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) together with a Frozen ATPL, or an ATPL.
- The role requires fluent and negotiation-level English, UPRT as a Pilot, a minimum of 3,000 hours as a pilot, and at least 1,500 hours on multi-pilot aircraft (MPA).
- Candidates need a minimum of three years of commercial aviation experience as a pilot on FAR 25/CS 25 or FAR 23/CS 23 aircraft in multi-pilot operations, preferably on Airbus aircraft.
- A Synthetic Flight Instructor Authorization or previous instructor experience is an advantage.
