About This Role
Airbus Asia Training Centre seeks an experienced Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) based in Singapore to instruct airline crews converting to Airbus aircraft. The role involves conducting theoretical and practical training on Flight Training Devices and Full Flight Simulators, ensuring pilots develop proficiency in normal and emergency procedures. Candidates must hold a CPL and Frozen ATPL with minimum 3000 total flight hours, including 1500 hours on multi-pilot aircraft and 1500 hours on Airbus Fly-by-Wire types. Prior instructor/examiner experience and completion of the Airbus Pilot Instructor Course (APIC) are advantageous. Requirements
  • Valid CPL (Commercial Pilot License) and Frozen ATPL (Air Transport Pilot License) or valid ATPL
  • Minimum 3000 hours total flight time
  • Minimum 1500 hours on Multi-Pilot Aeroplane (MPA)
  • Minimum 1500 hours on Airbus Fly-by-Wire (FBW) aircraft type(s)
  • Fluent in English with minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency Rating of 5
  • Previous or current instructor/examiner experience (advantageous)
  • Completion of Airbus Pilot Instructor Course (APIC) (advantageous)
  • High level of airmanship and ability to teach in multicultural environment
  • Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to integrity
