About This Role
CAE is recruiting a full-time Synthetic Flight & Ground School Instructor for its newly opened Business Aviation Training Centre in Vienna (Schwechat), Austria. The instructor will join the initial team establishing operations at a new 8,000-square-metre facility that will initially house five Full Flight Simulators, with expansion capacity for up to nine. The role is based on the PC-24 platform and combines expert simulator instruction, classroom and ground-school delivery, client mentoring, trainee-record management, and ongoing improvement of training materials and processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The instructor will assure quality delivery of client training in accordance with the relevant qualification, including classroom systems and performance ground school as well as in-simulator pilot training. Responsibilities include monitoring compliance with all authorizations and qualifications
- increasing instructor qualifications when required by the programme
- conducting quality pre-flight and post-flight briefings
- suggesting curriculum and courseware changes to improve the client experience
- assisting the Lead when requested
- completing all paper and electronic records accurately and on time
- providing seat support to individual clients on occasion
- and delivering portions of initial and recurrent ground school. The instructor will work alongside client partners, mentor and develop aviation colleagues, maintain accurate trainee records, and carry out other duties assigned by the Training Manager.

Requirements
- An EASA licence and 500 single-pilot hours are required. Previous instructional experience is desirable but not mandatory, with CFI, SFI, or SFE experience identified as relevant. Candidates must read, speak, and converse in English to a high standard
- maintain accurate and timely training records
- tailor sessions to a diverse customer base
- and have basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based programs. The position requires flexibility for a full-time work pattern, residence within commuting distance of the Schwechat Training Centre, and the ability to work on site in a full-time permanent position. The right to live and work in Austria is desirable. Candidates must be prepared to spend a period outside Austria to undertake initial type and SFI ratings.
