About This Role
CAE is recruiting full-time Synthetic Flight & Ground School Instructors for its new Business Aviation Training Centre in Vienna (Schwechat), Austria. The initial team will help establish operations at a purpose-built 8,000-square-metre facility planned to operate five state-of-the-art Full Flight Simulators, including the G550, PH100/300, Global 7500, and Global 6000 Vision. Instructors will lead client training through expert synthetic flight instruction, classroom and ground-school delivery, simulator sessions, trainee-record administration, and support for the centre’s diverse business aviation customer base.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The instructor will assure quality delivery of client training in accordance with the relevant qualification, including classroom systems and performance ground school and in-simulator pilot training. Responsibilities include monitoring and assuring compliance with all authorizations and qualifications
- increasing instructor qualifications as required by the program
- conducting quality pre-flight and post-flight briefings
- suggesting curriculum and courseware changes to improve the client experience
- assisting the Lead with duties when requested
- completing all paperwork and electronic records accurately and promptly
- providing seat support for individual clients on occasion
- delivering portions of initial and recurrent ground school
- and carrying out any other duties assigned by the Training Manager.

Requirements
- An EASA licence is required, together with 1,500 hours or more of total multi-pilot time
- applicants are asked to mention whether they have 500 hours or more of single-pilot experience. Previous instructional experience is ideal but not required, with CFI, SFI, or SFE experience identified as relevant. Candidates must be able to read, speak, and converse in English at a high level, tailor training sessions to a diverse customer base, commit to a full-time work pattern, and live within commuting distance of the Training Centre in Schwechat. The right to live and work in Austria is desirable. Candidates must also be prepared to spend a period outside Austria to undertake initial type and SFI ratings. Preferred qualifications include experience as a Synthetic Flight Instructor, high-performance aircraft and instructional experience, mentoring and developing industry colleagues, strong interpersonal skills, process-improvement and customer-satisfaction orientation, the ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 environment, and flexibility in responding to change.
