About This Role
Emirates Flight Training is recruiting an experienced aviation professional for a non-flying, ground-based Synthetic Flight Examiner role. Working within Emirates' Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) and Evidence Based Training (EBT) environment, the examiner will conduct simulator pilot checks, licensing tests, instructor assessments of competence, and regulator-required EBT programmes. The role also delivers simulator and ground-school training, evaluates pilot performance, recommends remedial training, and supports improvements to safety, quality, standardisation, and course development.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct simulator pilot checks, licensing tests, instructor assessments of competence validations (AOC), and EBT training programmes as required by the regulator and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Deliver FSTD type-rating training and ground school in line with company procedures and requirements, conduct recency training under the approved syllabus, and provide Fixed Base and Full Flight Simulator transition training.
- Conduct simulator training for instructors and examiners.
- Complete and submit accurate, detailed reports and assessments of pilots under instruction through the existing electronic reporting system.
- Recommend additional or remedial training for trainee pilots who are not progressing at the expected performance rate.
- Provide training-management recommendations to improve efficiency, safety, training quality, standardised procedures, and teaching techniques.
- Support ad hoc projects, course development, and other assigned tasks.
What We Offer

Requirements
- Applicants must hold or have held an ATPL Airline Transport Pilot License and have a minimum of 1,500 hours of flight time as a pilot on a multipilot aeroplane.
- Candidates must have at least six months of experience as an active TRI/SFI, a valid SFI/TRI certificate for the applicable type, and advanced communication and leadership skills.
