About This Role
Thomson Airborne, a geophysical survey operator based in Griffith, NSW, is seeking an experienced Cessna 210 Survey Pilot for low-level aerial surveying operations. The company has been operating for over 30 years and is a full member of the International Airborne Geophysics Safety Association (IAGSA), operating to the highest safety standards. Candidates must hold a Commercial Pilot License with a current Low-Level rating and minimum 10 hours on the C210 or equivalent retractable undercarriage experience. Previous survey experience is desirable, with C208 rating and experience considered an advantage. International applicants are welcome to apply.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate Cessna 210 aircraft on low-level geophysical survey missions
- Conduct aerial surveys with specialized survey equipment
- Maintain precise altitude and heading control during survey operations
- Ensure compliance with survey protocols and safety procedures
Requirements
- Commercial Pilot License - Airplane (CPL(A))
- Current Low-Level rating
- Minimum 10 hours on C210 or Retractable Undercarriage rating equivalent
- Valid Australian or equivalent pilot license
- Current medical certification
- Previous survey experience desirable
- C208 rating and experience advantageous
