About This Role
CAE is seeking a Sovereign Instructor Pilot in Whippany to develop pilot confidence and skill through high-quality flight simulator and ground training. The instructor will lead training sessions, conduct comprehensive pre- and post-flight briefings, act as a subject matter expert across assigned aircraft platforms, and provide instruction for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications. The role also includes maintaining accurate training records and instructional qualifications, recommending remedial training when appropriate, and potentially qualifying after approximately 1.5 or more years, subject to business need, as a Training Center Evaluator and customer contract check airman. Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with regulatory requirements, the CAE curriculum, and customer expectations.
- Conduct professional and comprehensive pre- and post-flight simulator briefings.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for client training and internal course development.
- Complete training records, maintain instructional qualifications, and recommend remedial training when needed.
- Provide instruction across one or more aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.
- After approximately 1.5 or more years, subject to business need, qualify as a Training Center Evaluator and customer contract check airman.

Requirements
- Minimum qualifications include an unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of ATP Written, basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based programmes, participation in CAE's DOT Drug & Alcohol testing programme, strong communication skills, and a passion for teaching. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. An unrestricted PIC type rating, Sovereign experience, FAR Part 135 experience, and 3,000 or more total flight hours are preferred or highly desired rather than stated as minimum hour requirements. Experience flying business aircraft is highly desired. Preferred qualifications include prior instructional or training experience, the ability to tailor training content for a diverse customer base, close attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping in accordance with CAE and FAA standards, a customer-service mindset, the ability to create a positive learning environment, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Physical requirements include regularly ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- occasionally moving into confined spaces, changing position, moving about to complete tasks, handling objects up to 20 pounds, and performing repetitive wrist, hand, or finger motions
