About This Role
Simulator Instructor for approved New Hire, Upgrade, and Recurrent training programs at Mesa Airlines, based at the Training Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Instructs on the E-Jet family (E-170), requiring an Airline Transport License and E-170 PIC type-rating eligibility.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Essential Functions: Have enthusiasm and passion for teaching.
- Possess a high level of knowledge of aircraft systems and procedures.
- Ability to recognize, identify, and correct student deficiencies.
- Display a high level of professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
- Have thorough knowledge of the GOM, CFM, FOTM, and company training materials.
- Timely completion of student training records.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Standards and Training or Director of Training.
Requirements
- Hold an Airline Transport License.
- Eligible for an E-170 PIC Type Rating.
- Must have 1 year of experience as a PIC or SIC in a transport category airplane.
- Able to pass a 10-year background check.
- Meets the Flight Instructor qualifications of 14 CFR 121.412.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Preference given to previous or present Mesa Airlines, Inc. employees.
