About This Role
Senior Pilot role at Sierra Nevada Corporation supporting deployed intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) and aviation missions. The Senior Pilot leads complex flight missions, provides operational leadership, supervises and mentors junior pilots, and performs advanced piloting duties. The position is deployed-only (OCONUS) and requires an active Secret U.S. security clearance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and execute complex flight missions across diverse operational environments
- supervise and mentor junior pilots
- perform missions including casualty evacuation, maritime patrol, and experimental test flights
- ensure mission readiness through detailed planning, risk assessment, and coordination
- monitor and enforce compliance with safety protocols and aviation regulations
- serve as the primary point of contact for mission-critical communication
- review and analyze flight data and mission outcomes
- facilitate training programs and drills
- liaise with engineering teams to resolve technical issues
- and participate in strategic planning and operational decision-making.

Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 3,000 hours total flight time and a minimum of 1,500 hours fixed-wing pilot-in-command (PIC) time in multi-engine turboprop or jet aircraft (or a combination) with a gross takeoff weight of 12,500 lb or greater. Must hold a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with instrument and multi-engine ratings without limitations and an FAA Class II Medical Certificate. Must pass an FAA/Military pilot background check and drug and alcohol screening, meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations, and be willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/30 rotation. An active Secret U.S. security clearance is required from day one and U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates with only rotary-wing or single-engine hours will not be considered

Preferred Qualifications
- military flight training, previous ISR experience, previous Dash 8 experience, previous OCONUS experience, Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification, and a bachelor's or advanced degree.
