About This Role
Senior Captain at MSG Aviation, the corporate flight department of Madison Square Garden Entertainment, serving as Pilot in Command on company-controlled fixed-wing aircraft transporting UHNWI clients and guests. Based in Farmingdale, NY, the role carries final authority for safe flight operation, regulatory compliance, weather/route decision-making, and white-glove customer service, operating under 14 CFR Part 91 or 135.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the Pilot in Command (PIC) when assigned as Captain, having the final authority for the operation of the aircraft in the service of UHNWIs and their guests.
- Evaluate weather conditions at departure points, destinations, alternate airports, and along planned routes to determine whether to initiate, delay, cancel, or divert flights.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers consistent with applicable government regulations and MSG Aviation's flight standards.
- Review and calculate the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board, and performance charts.
- Ensure preflight inspections are completed thoroughly and in accordance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and coordinate flight and cabin crew performance, mentoring crewmembers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, Business Aviation, Safety, Operations Management or equivalent.
- 10+ years of successful experience as PIC in UHNW dynamic global white glove environments.
- Must hold and be able to maintain a valid FAA Class I medical.
- Previous experience operating in 14 CFR Part 91 or 135 environments is required, with a thorough understanding of 14 CFR Part 91 and ICAO Standard.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Special Requirements: G650 Type Rating is preferred, G550 Type Rating Required.
- 7500 hours total time, 3500 hours turbine time, 3500 hours Pilot in Command, and 1500 hours large cabin corporate aircraft.
