About This Role
Acron Aviation is hiring a full-time Senior Associate, Flight Instruction for its flight academy in Sanford, Florida. The instructor will teach aircraft systems, maneuvers, procedures, and other flight subjects both on the ground and in flight; conduct briefings and debriefings; monitor student progress and training records; and help maintain an academy flight-training pass rate of at least 80%. The role requires a current FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate, CFII certification, MEI qualification, and the 200 dual-given qualification specified in the title.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide instruction on aircraft systems, training maneuvers, procedures, and other flight-related subjects on the ground and in the aircraft.
- Conduct preflight and postflight debriefings and provide in-flight instruction so students thoroughly understand the training materials.
- Maintain the flight-training pass rate at or above 80%, support academy goals for pass rates and timely student completion, observe student flight-hour limitations, complete training records on time, and recommend corrective action to the Group Manager when issues arise.
- Schedule assigned students regularly to support progress through the course.
- Maintain FAA and Acron Aviation Flight Academy training standards, follow the Operations Manual, and track and update student training records and folders in accordance with academy and FAA policy.
- Deliver customer-service-oriented, professional instruction.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold a current FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate, a CFII Certificate, and MEI qualification.
- The title specifies 200 dual given as a requirement.
- Applicants currently enrolled in the Flight Operation degree must have completed all flight training labs to be considered.
- The position requires a full-time schedule of six days per week with schedule flexibility.
- Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Access Flight Schedule Pro experience and willingness to work a flexible schedule.
