About This Role
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a Senior Assistant Chief Flight Instructor at its Prescott, AZ campus to serve as the designated FAR Part 141 Assistant Chief Instructor, supporting flight training, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence in the university's flight training program.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated FAR Part 141 Assistant Chief Instructor, supporting training, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Manage flight instructor training programs, certifications, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee curriculum updates and ensure adherence to FAA and University standards.
- Promote a culture of safety and regulatory compliance while fostering instructor and student success.
- Act as a key liaison for students, instructors, and leadership, ensuring seamless communication and effective problem-solving.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aviation or a related field (advanced degrees preferred). COM ASMEL IR, CFI, MEI, CFII required
- ATP and AGI/IGI preferred. Minimum 5 years of piloting experience, with 3+ years in training roles. Deep knowledge of FAA regulations and training program management.
