About This Role
Makers Air is offering a Fort Lauderdale-based Second in Command training position on the Cessna Caravan for scheduled and charter flying between South Florida and the Bahamas. The SIC supports preflight preparation, right-seat duties, passenger service, aircraft loading and weight-and-balance work while completing the operator's Part 135 ground and flight training. Applicants need at least 200 total hours, an FAA Commercial ASEL certificate, a current instrument rating, a Second-Class medical and a valid US passport for unrestricted international travel. The company covers ground school, flight training, operational onboarding, uniform and travel gear and presents the position as a defined path to Captain after the required experience and internal milestones are completed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with preflight preparation, right-seat duties, and passenger service.
- Participate in daily scheduled and charter operations throughout The Bahamas.
- Complete FAA Part 135 ground and flight training.
- Support aircraft loading, weight and balance calculations and perform duties assigned by the Captain.

Requirements
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate – Airplane Single Engine Land (ASEL).
- Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum Total Flight Time: 200.
- Instrument Rating – Must be current and proficient under Part 61/91.
- Valid U.S.
- Passport – Must be able to travel internationally without restrictions.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
