About This Role
Jet Linx Aviation is seeking a full-time Second in Command for a Gulfstream G280 super-midsize jet in Part 91 flight operations. The listing identifies Opa-locka, Florida as the location and describes the full-time position as Miami, FL; the SIC reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and prepares and ensures the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Duties & Responsibilities
- The Second in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and prepares and ensures the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Duties include managing duty, flight, and rest times according to company and CFR requirements
- maintaining communication with the company about standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports
- maintaining and managing electronic flight bag hardware and applications
- and ensuring that navigation charts, publications, and company manuals remain current. The role also requires maintaining a current first-class medical certificate, demonstrating strong and proactive decision-making, and consistently demonstrating Jet Linx's core values in all interactions.
What We Offer
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary ranges from $124,000 to $160,000, with the actual base salary determined by geographic location, aircraft size for crew positions, and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience. Requirements
- Minimum flight-time requirements are 1,500 hours total time, 500 hours total PIC, 500 hours total multi-engine, 100 hours total turbine, and 150 hours total instrument. Initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred. Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. driver's license, provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States, hold a current passport, hold an unrestricted ATP, maintain a first-class medical certificate, and hold an FCC Restricted Radio License. They must pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing when required
- anyone in a safety-sensitive function is subject to pre-employment testing for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), and amphetamines. The role requires an unrestricted ability to travel to all EU countries, Canada, and Caribbean countries, the ability to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot, and availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required. Most work is completed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals, and the employee must be able to move up to 50 pounds frequently. The candidate must also live or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out time of the home base.
