About This Role
Jet Linx Aviation is hiring a full-time Second in Command for a Gulfstream G200 super-midsize jet based in San Antonio, Texas. The role supports Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations, reports to the Base Chief Pilot, and prepares and ensures safe, efficient company-aircraft operations in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Candidates must live or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out time of their home base; the posting offers a starting base annual salary of $124,000 to $160,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The SIC reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and prepares and ensures the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Core duties include managing duty, flight, and rest times according to company and CFR requirements
- maintaining communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports
- maintaining and managing electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications
- and ensuring that navigation charts, publications, and company manuals remain current. The SIC must maintain a current first-class medical certificate, demonstrate strong proactive decision-making, and demonstrate Jet Linx's core values in all interactions.

Requirements
- The minimum flight-time profile is 1,500 hours total time, 500 hours total PIC, 500 hours total multi-engine, 100 hours total turbine, and 150 hours total instrument. Initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred. Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. driver's license, provide proof of eligibility to work in the US, carry a current passport, hold an unrestricted ATP, maintain a first-class medical, and hold an FCC Restricted Radio License. They must pass a pre-employment drug screen and, when required, random drug/alcohol testing
- safety-sensitive personnel are subject to pre-employment testing for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), and amphetamines. The role also requires unrestricted ability to travel to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries, release and passage of an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required. Most work occurs in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals, and the candidate must be able to move up to 50 pounds frequently. The candidate must also live or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out time of the home base.
