About This Role
Jet Linx is recruiting a full-time Second in Command for its Citation Latitude super-midsize jet operation based at Wilmington, Delaware (KILG). The SIC supports Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations, reports to the Base Chief Pilot, and prepares and ensures the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft under the Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. The role requires the pilot to live or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out time of the KILG-based aircraft and includes operational coordination, flight-reporting, electronic-flight-bag, and aircraft-documentation responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The SIC reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and prepares and ensures the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Duties include managing duty, flight, and rest times in line with company and CFR requirements
- maintaining communication for standby-duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports
- maintaining and managing electronic flight bag hardware and applications
- and ensuring navigation charts, publications, and company manuals remain current. The SIC is expected to demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making and Jet Linx's core values in every interaction. Most work is performed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals, with availability required for nights, weekends, and holidays.
What We Offer
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary ranges from $124,000 to $160,000, with the actual base determined by geographic location, aircraft size for crew positions, and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience. Requirements
- The stated minimums are 1,500 hours total time, 500 hours total PIC, 500 hours total multi-engine time, 100 hours total turbine time, and 150 hours total instrument time. Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP, a current first-class medical certificate, an FCC Restricted Radio License, and a current passport
- they must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States and be able to obtain a U.S. driver's license. Applicants must be able to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot, travel without restriction to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries, work nights, weekends, and holidays, and pass a pre-employment drug screen and any required random drug/alcohol testing. For safety-sensitive functions, the posting specifies testing for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), and amphetamines. Initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred. A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required, along with the ability to work primarily in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
