About This Role
Full-time seasonal Seaplane Pilot position with Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures for the 2027 operating season, based in Broome, Western Australia. The pilot operates Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft on scenic tourism flights through the Horizontal Falls region. This is a single-pilot operation requiring safe aircraft and passenger management, strict adherence to company procedures, strong safety judgment, and excellent guest communication.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures' Cessna 208 Caravan fleet in scenic tourism operations around Broome, including flights over red cliffs, turquoise waters, and mangroves.
- Conduct single-pilot operations with responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft and the safety of passengers on board.
- Follow all company procedures, manuals, and reasonable instructions, while applying sound judgment to support safe and effective flight operations.
- Communicate professionally with guests and colleagues and help deliver memorable, high-quality tourism experiences.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold a CASA Part 61 Commercial Pilots License, CASA Class 1 Medical, a current aeroplane flight review (AFR), at least 1,500 hours of total flight time, and 350 hours of float time.
- The role requires a single-engine aeroplane class rating, Cessna 208 (C208), Floatplane (FLP), Gas Turbine Engine (GTE), Manual Propeller Pitch Control (MPPC), and Retractable Undercarriage (RU) endorsements.
- Fifty hours on the C208 is desirable.
- A Flight Instructor Rating, Night VFR Rating, and Single Engine Command Instrument Rating are highly desirable.
- Applicants should be enthusiastic and self-motivated, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, maintain a strong commitment to safety, and be able to assess situations and make sound independent decisions during single-pilot operations.
- Candidates must be able to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
