About This Role
Northwell Health is seeking a First Officer to serve as Second-in-Command on a Pilatus PC-24 supporting planned flights that pick up and deliver air-transported, time-sensitive medical cargo. The position supports the Captain with aircraft airworthiness, weight and balance, on-time mission execution, pre-flight planning, in-flight duties and post-flight procedures, and requires compliance with the Company's GOM, Operations Specifications, LOAs, FAA regulations and aircraft manuals. It also includes assisting clinical departments and management with process improvement, new processes, tools and techniques, new clinical services, and methods for new tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The First Officer is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of each flight assignment and serves as Second-in-Command on a Pilatus PC-24. Duties include assisting the Captain in all phases of flight, including pre-flight planning, in-flight duties and post-flight procedures
- supporting aircraft airworthiness and weight-and-balance responsibilities
- helping ensure on-time pickup and delivery of time-sensitive medical cargo
- and complying with the Company's GOM, Operations Specifications, LOAs, FAA regulations, aircraft flight and equipment manuals, and other information required for each flight. The role also assists clinical departments and management with recommendations on process improvement, new processes, tools and techniques, and development of new clinical services, while helping clinical team members and department or unit management determine methods and procedures for new tasks.
Requirements
- Required qualifications are a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience, an FAA First Class Medical Certificate, and a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine Land and Instrument ratings.
- The posting requires 3-5 years of relevant technical experience, inclusive of 1,200 hours minimum flight time, 500 hours minimum Pilot-in-Command time, 200 hours minimum turbine time, and 100 hours of multi-engine time.
- The qualifications also list working knowledge of FAA Part 135 and Part 91 regulations, flight planning software, electronic flight bags (EFB), and Microsoft Office.
