About This Role
CAE/SIMCOM is hiring a Saab 2000 Instructor Pilot in Orlando to deliver simulator, flight, classroom, and ground-school instruction and support pilot licensing, type-rating, qualification, and training activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with regulatory standards, CAE curriculum, and customer requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) guiding clients through all phases of their training.
- Provide simulator, flight, and classroom instruction for licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
- Conduct thorough, professional pre‑ and post‑flight simulator briefings.
- Complete required administrative tasks, including training records, remedial training recommendations, and monitoring instructor qualifications.
- Support curriculum and courseware development as an SME when required.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or state‑issued equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3,000+ hours of total flight time.
- 2–5 years of job‑relevant experience.
- Previous teaching or training experience preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Must be authorized to live/work in the United States.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet‑based programs.
- Ability to participate in CAE’s DOT Anti‑Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Hold an unrestricted ATP certificate and one unrestricted PIC type rating Excellent fluency in English (spoken and written) Strong listening and presentation skills
