The U.S. Air Force seeks qualified Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Pilots to fly cutting-edge systems like the MQ-9 Reaper and RQ-4 Global Hawk. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree, complete Officer Training School, and undergo specialized pilot training. This is a 10-year active-duty service commitment as a U.S. Air Force officer.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in any major with minimum 2.5 GPA
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Must be between 18 and 42 years old at time of application
  • Valid Secret or Top Secret security clearance eligibility
  • Completion of Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)
  • Normal color vision with distance visual acuity 20/70 correctable to 20/20 (or 20/400 correctable to 20/20 for RPA pilots)
  • Near visual acuity of 20/30 without correction
  • No history of hay fever, asthma, or allergies after age 12
  • Meet Air Force weight and physical conditioning requirements
  • Pass AFOQT (Air Force Officer Qualifying Test) examination
  • Completion of Officer Training School (OTS), Air Force Academy (AFA), or AFROTC
  • Completion of Air Force Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training
  • Knowledge of flight theory, air navigation, meteorology, flying directives, aircraft operating procedures, and mission tactics
  • 10-year active-duty service commitment
  • Height specifications vary by aircraft; all heights encouraged to apply
