About This Role
BAE Systems is recruiting a Typhoon Qualified Instructor Pilot in Dukhan, Qatar, to deliver air and ground-based pilot training to Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) personnel using the Typhoon (Eurofighter) aircraft and the Qatar Mission Training Simulators and teaching devices. The post-holder serves as an airborne Instructor Pilot embedded with the QEAF Typhoon squadron, delivering conversion-to-exercise (Convex) training to Instructor Pilots and, subsequently, academic and flying training to QEAF Typhoon student pilots. The role directly supports the build-up and long-term sustainment of QEAF Typhoon Force pilot strength and operational capability. It is advertised as an experienced-professional, Aircrew position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver air and ground-based pilot training to QEAF personnel, using the Typhoon aircraft together with the Qatar Mission Training Simulators and teaching devices.
- Hold the position of an airborne Instructor Pilot with the QEAF Typhoon squadron.
- Deliver Convex (conversion-to-exercise) training to Instructor Pilots, and subsequently provide academic and flying training to QEAF Typhoon student pilots.
- Contribute to building up and sustaining QEAF Typhoon Force pilot strength and operational capability.
