About This Role
Perimeter Aviation is recruiting a Medevac First Officer to support medical evacuation operations under the 703/704 Chief Pilot. The pilot works closely with the Captain, medical crew, flight followers, and other crew members to conduct safe, efficient, and comfortable flights while maintaining current regulatory, operational, and aircraft knowledge. The position includes hands-on aircraft, passenger, patient, baggage, cargo, and freight responsibilities and is intended to support continued development toward a future Captain position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct flights in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, the Aircraft Flight Manual, and the Company Operations Manual. Assist the pilot in command with flight management and operation, including all cockpit procedures
- fuel and inspect the aircraft before flight on behalf of the Captain

- and complete post-flight inspections. Lift, load, and secure patients, cargo, baggage, and freight, and assist the medical crew when required and appropriate. Maintain constant coordination with crew members and flight followers so that medevac transfers are completed efficiently and effectively. Participate actively in the company’s Safety Management System, continually improve flying skills and technical knowledge in preparation for future Captain duties, continue meeting or exceeding Transport Canada pilot qualification standards, and perform other assigned duties.
What We Offer
Accommodation is arranged in a residence at the assigned remote base while the pilot is on a scheduled shift.Assigned bases may change according to operational requirements.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a Commercial Pilot Licence, a Category 1 Medical, and a current Group 1 Instrument Rating, with at least 500 hours of total flight time.
- They must be Canadian citizens or otherwise able to work in Canada without restriction, be fluent in English, and demonstrate effective verbal communication and listening comprehension.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain applicable transportation security clearances and other authorizations, pass Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record checks, possess thorough knowledge of aviation regulations, and hold a valid passport and driver’s licence.
- Indigenous and cultural awareness training is considered an asset.
