About This Role
Perimeter Aviation LP, a Canadian subsidiary of Exchange Income Corporation with approximately 900 employees and a fleet of 45+ aircraft, is recruiting a Dash 8 Captain for its Type B 705 operation in Toronto. The company provides scheduled passenger and freight services to Northern Manitoba and Northern Ontario, 24/7 North American charter services, and medical evacuation services. Reporting to the Assistant Chief Pilot, the Captain transports thousands of passengers and makes safe operations, passenger comfort, and on-time performance the central priorities. The role combines flight planning and dispatch coordination with aircraft inspections, weight-and-balance calculations, cargo handling, and post-flight tracking and defect reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The 705 Captain conducts flights in strict accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manual, and Company Operations Manual, while prioritizing safe operation, passenger comfort, and on-time performance.
- Flight preparation includes checking weather and applicable NOTAMs where available, determining fuel and oil requirements, calculating airplane weight and balance, reviewing, amending, and accepting the Operational Flight Plan for the Type B 705 operation, and completing an airplane pre-flight inspection before each departure.
- The role includes loading, unloading, and securing cargo or freight as required and completing flight watch jointly with the flight dispatcher.
- After each flight, the Captain completes post-flight duties, including notifying or confirming the airplane's whereabouts to the Company when away from base, recording flight times, and recording any defects.
- The Captain must continue to meet and exceed Transport Canada qualification standards for a Pilot and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a Category 1 Medical, a current Group 1 Instrument Rating, and an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). A minimum of 2000 hours of total time is required
- 500 hours on the DHC-8 is preferred. Previous airline experience and Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training are considered assets. Pilots must be fluent in English, demonstrate effective verbal, written, and listening comprehension, be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations, and continue to meet and exceed Transport Canada qualification standards.
