About This Role
Woolpert Africa is recruiting experienced, mission-ready Survey Pilots for its Aerial Acquisition–Africa Operations Team in Johannesburg, South Africa. Based in South Africa, the role involves extensive fieldwork across various locations in support of Woolpert’s geospatial and aerial survey missions and world-class aerial data operations, including work in challenging environments and assignments away from base for up to six weeks. The required profile is a CPL holder with a current medical certificate, at least 1,000 hours total flight time, a current night and instrument rating, 120 hours on twin-engine aircraft, and a valid passport. Turbine-aircraft experience, prior survey flying, CRM/DG/SEPT/SMS short courses, and ratings on Cessna Reims F406, Piper PA31-350, or Partenavia P.68 series aircraft are advantages; Woolpert also advertises competitive pay, flexible work arrangements, potential ownership, career development, fitness reimbursement, a technology stipend, and an employee assistance program.

Requirements
- Minimum Requirements: Valid Commercial Pilot’s License (CPL) with a current medical certificate

- and flexibility to work away from base for up to 6 weeks at a time. Preferred Experience & Skills: experience flying turbine aircraft
- prior survey flight experience is advantageous
- and completion of CRM (Crew Resource Management), DG (Dangerous Goods), SEPT (Safety and Emergency Procedures Training), and SMS (Safety Management Systems) short courses, with SMS identified as advantageous. Bonus Aircraft Ratings: Candidates rated on the Cessna Reims F406, Piper PA31-350, or Partenavia P.68 series have a strong advantage.
