About This Role
Cutter Aviation has an immediate need for an energetic and knowledgeable aviation professional to serve as Pilot-in-Command of a new Pilatus PC-24 based at its Phoenix Sky Harbor location. The flying is single-pilot operations supporting the owner's travel requirements together with charter work, conducted under both Part 91 and Part 135 on-demand charter rules. As PIC you are the primary face of Cutter Aviation and must be an exceptional relationship builder and communicator with the drive to deliver world-class customer service to the aircraft owner and to clients, and you act as the external representative of the company to aircraft owners, operators, business partners and the wider business aviation community. The role also requires you to liaise with Cutter Flight Management on all phases of aircraft operations and support. It is a full-time position on a fixed 15-day schedule, and the successful candidate must be flexible enough to cover on-demand operations, adapt to rotating schedules and respond to short-notice callouts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, builds friendly rapport easily, is persistent in the face of obstacles, professional in appearance and manner, reliable and self-directed, and keeps composure and works effectively in high-stress and changeable situations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as Pilot-in-Command of the PC-24 in Part 91 and Part 135 on-demand charter operations, flying single-pilot in support of the owner's travel requirements as well as charter clients.
- Deliver world-class service with an uncompromising commitment to safety.
- Adhere to a fixed 15-day schedule while remaining flexible and willing to cover on-demand operations, adapting to rotating schedules and short-notice callouts.
- Follow established procedures for reporting irregularities during flights and ground checks and for maintaining records.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations covering actual flight, qualifications, currency and fitness for flight, as well as aircraft compliance.
- Liaise with Cutter Flight Management on all phases of aircraft operations and support, and act as the external representative of the company to aircraft owners, operators, business partners and the business aviation community.
- Carry out additional administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and the Chief Pilot.
Requirements
- Minimum requirements: previous turbojet type rating and/or turboprop experience is preferred
- a Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
- a current First Class Medical or the ability to qualify for one
- no accidents, incidents or sanctions in the past five years
- knowledge of general aviation aircraft and their service requirements as well as the needs of crews and passengers
- excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills
- the ability to train an SIC pilot to perform their functions properly
- a sincere desire to help customers and to work as part of a team
- a self-starter able to work independently
- excellent multi-tasking ability
- and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Desired qualifications, where preference will be given to candidates who hold them: 3,000 hours total time, 1,500 hours PIC, 250 hours PIC in turbine-powered aircraft, previous experience in on-demand charter operations, and previous FlightSafety International or SimuFlite training. Other requirements: a clean driving record, the ability to pass a background check and a drug screening test, and a high school diploma or GED.
