About This Role
Cutter Aviation is seeking a full-time LR60/Learjet Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in Phoenix, AZ for Part 91 and Part 135 on-demand charter operations. The PIC is the primary face of the company in the field and an external representative to aircraft owners, operators, business partners, and the business aviation community, with a strong emphasis on relationship building and world-class customer service. The role requires 24/7 year-round availability, flexibility with rotating schedules and short-notice callouts, compliance with FAA requirements for actual flight operations, qualifications, currency, fitness for flight, and aircraft compliance, established-procedure reporting and recordkeeping, and the ability to train the SIC while contributing to a customer-focused team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- As Pilot-in-Command, provide world-class, uncompromising service to clients while operating the LR60/Learjet in Part 91 and Part 135 on-demand charter operations.
- Serve as Cutter Aviation's primary field-facing representative and external contact for aircraft owners, operators, business partners, and the business aviation community.
- Maintain 24/7 year-round availability, adapt to rotating schedules, and respond to short-notice callouts.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations concerning actual flight, pilot qualifications, currency, fitness for flight, and aircraft compliance.
- Follow established procedures for reporting irregularities during flights and ground checks and for maintaining records.
- Train the SIC pilot to properly perform their functions, and complete additional administrative duties assigned by the Director of Operations and Chief Pilot.
Requirements
- Minimum requirements are 3000 hours of total time and 1500 PIC hours, a valid and current FAA-issued pilot license, a current 1st Class Medical, no accidents, incidents, or sanctions in the past 5 years, knowledge of general aviation aircraft and their service requirements and of crew and passenger needs, and the ability to train the SIC pilot to properly perform their functions. The candidate should have a sincere desire to assist customers and be part of a team, excellent customer-service, organizational, and communication skills, a professional appearance and mannerisms, initiative, the ability to develop a friendly rapport, attention to detail, excellent multitasking ability, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. A current LR60 type rating is preferred. Desired qualifications include current Part 135.293/297 in Type FSI or Simuflite Training. Other requirements are passing a drug-screening test and background check, maintaining a clean driving record, and holding a high school diploma or GED.
