About This Role
This full-time Phoenix-based Captain/Pilot-in-Command role operates a C680A Citation Latitude for Part 91 and Part 135 on-demand charter work. The pilot is Cutter Aviation's primary customer-facing representative and must build strong relationships while delivering world-class service to aircraft owners, operators, business partners, and the wider business aviation community. The position combines safe, FAA-compliant flight operations with schedule flexibility, short-notice callouts, recordkeeping, administrative support, and SIC training.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as Pilot-in-Command on a C680A Citation Latitude in Part 91 and Part 135 on-demand charter operations while providing uncompromising, world-class service to clients.
- Act as Cutter Aviation's primary face and external representative to aircraft owners, operators, business partners, and the business aviation community, building strong relationships and representing the company professionally.
- Adapt to rotating schedules and short-notice callouts.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations covering actual flight, qualifications, currency, fitness for flight, and aircraft compliance.
- Follow established procedures for reporting irregularities during flights and ground checks, maintain records, complete additional administrative duties assigned by the Director of Operations and Chief Pilot, uphold an uncompromising commitment to safety, and train the SIC pilot to perform the SIC functions properly.
Requirements
- Minimum requirements are a previous PIC jet type rating, 3,000 hours of total flight time, 1,500 PIC hours, and 250 PIC or SIC hours in a mid-size jet or larger aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight above 20,000 lb. The pilot must hold a valid, current FAA-issued pilot license and a current first-class medical, with no accidents, incidents, or sanctions during the past five years. Candidates must understand general aviation aircraft and their service requirements, as well as the needs of crews and passengers, and must be able to train the SIC pilot to perform SIC functions properly. The role also requires a sincere desire to assist customers and work as part of a team, excellent customer-service, organizational, and communication skills, a professional appearance and manner, initiative, the ability to develop friendly rapport, excellent multitasking ability, and the ability to lift 50 lb. A desired qualification, rather than a stated minimum, is current Part 135.293/297 in a jet with FSI or Simuflite training. Other requirements are passing a drug screening test and background check, having a clean driving record, and holding a high school diploma or GED.
