About This Role
Four Corners Aviation, a dynamic private aviation company offering aircraft management, charter, and corporate jet services, is seeking an experienced Pilot in Command (Captain) for their G650ER fleet based in Birmingham, AL. The role involves Part 91/135 operations with responsibility for safe transportation of passengers, crew, and cargo. Candidates must hold an FAA ATPL with 3,500 total flight hours and 1,500 hours PIC turbine time, with G650 type rating strongly preferred. Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as final authority for aircraft operations and flight decisions
- Authority to delay, cancel, or discontinue flights when conditions are unsuitable
- Authority to change planned flight routes when necessary for safer operations
- Ensure strict adherence to company operating policies and procedures
- Conduct comprehensive flight planning considering weather, routing, airports, and aircraft performance
- Ensure flights are completed as planned or modified appropriately for safety
- Review and report aircraft maintenance status
- Conduct proper pre-flight inspections per Airplane Flight Manual
- Complete weather and facilities checks along the route and at destination airports
- Verify weight and balance procedures and ensure aircraft gross weight and CG are within limits
- Ensure safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew
- Complete all trip paperwork accurately and in accordance with procedures
- Adhere to Certificate Holder directions and all operations specifications and Federal Aviation Regulations
- Set professional example for all crewmembers
- Maintain open communication with crew and be receptive to input
- Report all flight interruptions to the Company prior to next departure
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot
Requirements
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
- G650 Aircraft type rating strongly preferred
- Current First Class Medical Certificate
- Minimum 3,500 hours total flight time
- Minimum 1,500 hours PIC turbine time
- Strong CRM (Crew Resource Management) skills
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
- Ability to travel to any international destination
- Enrolled in FAA/DOT Drug & Alcohol Program
- Pass TSA Criminal History check
- Must be located within 90 minutes of Birmingham, AL or willing to relocate
