About This Role
American Jet International is seeking an experienced Pilot in Command for their Learjet 60XR based in Houston, Texas. This Part 135 charter operation emphasizes exceptional customer service and safety culture under their motto "We are Ladies and Gentlemen, serving Ladies and Gentlemen." Candidates must hold an ATP certificate with a minimum of 2000 total flight hours and previous Part 135 charter experience. The position offers a flexible schedule with varying duty times including evenings and weekends, and the company will provide type rating training on the Learjet 60XR for qualified candidates.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate Learjet 60XR on charter flights
- Ensure safety is never compromised and work with the safety manager
- Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Develop rapport with aircraft owners and passengers
- Inspect aircraft for cleanliness and upkeep prior to customer arrival
- Communicate in a timely fashion with flight operations regarding customer preferences
- Comply with FAA regulations and company procedures

Requirements
- ATP certificate (preferred)
- Minimum 2000 hours total flight time
- Previous Part 135 charter experience (preferred)
- Valid 1st Class Medical Certificate
- High proficiency with 14 CFR and FAA regulations
- Meet requirements of 14 CFR Part 135.243(a)(1) & (c)
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to start date
- Acceptable driving record
- Pass background check
- Must live within 45 minutes of Houston base airport
- Zero tolerance drug-free policy compliance
