About This Role
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company and NetJets subsidiary, is recruiting a Gulfstream G280 Pilot in Command for a four-pilot account operating under EJM's Part 135 certificate. The account includes a dedicated maintenance technician and is designed for pilots who want to remain home-based within a 90-minute drive of a major airport served by commercial airlines. The position offers a set schedule, a professionally supported operation, and responsibility for safe, compliant, efficient aircraft operation together with a high-quality owner and passenger service experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Pilot in Command has final responsibility for operating the aircraft safely, compliantly, and efficiently. Duties include confirming that crewing and trip assignments meet company and regulatory requirements
- completing flight planning, aircraft performance, weight-and-balance, and pre-flight tasks
- checking maintenance status and recording aircraft discrepancies
- monitoring ground servicing such as fuel, oil, and oxygen
- leading required Threats, Plans and Considerations briefings
- following company SOPs
- and serving as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator. The PIC conducts passenger briefings, accommodates special passenger needs, and uses Crew Resource Management and Threat and Error Management to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations. The role also provides high-quality service to owners and passengers, identifies opportunities to improve the EJM service experience, investigates and resolves service deviations, collaborates with crew members and internal partners, and handles conflicts appropriately. The PIC must maintain required training and recency, comply with the company SMS program, and report safety or non-compliance concerns through the proper channels.

Requirements
- Applicants should have prior experience in Part 135 operations and must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- FAA G280 type rating is strongly preferred, but it is not stated as a mandatory prerequisite.
- The required flight-time profile is 3,500 hours total flight time, 1,500 hours of Multi Engine Land time, 2,000 hours of Pilot in Command time, 500 hours of PIC MEL time, 300 hours of instrument time, and 500 hours of jet time.
