About This Role
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company and NetJets subsidiary, is seeking a Gulfstream 650 Pilot in Command based at Palm Beach, Florida. The aircraft is operated primarily on domestic Part 91 flights for a single owner, supported by a three-pilot crew and a dedicated maintenance technician. The PIC has final responsibility for safe, compliant, efficient aircraft operation and for delivering a consistently exceptional owner and passenger service experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Pilot in Command is responsible for the safe operation of the flight and ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements. Duties include completing flight planning, performance, and weight-and-balance tasks
- using the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks
- complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- coordinating with company personnel
- acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator
- completing aircraft pre-flight tasks, including reviewing maintenance status, to confirm the aircraft is mission capable
- recording discrepancies under company SOPs
- monitoring and ensuring completion of ground servicing such as fueling, oil, and oxygen
- and conducting passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations. The PIC delivers a high level of customer service, accommodates special passenger needs including those of physically challenged passengers, and uses Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations. The role also includes providing quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to improve the EJM service experience, investigating and resolving service deviations, collaborating with crew members and internal EJM partners, resolving conflicts appropriately, maintaining company-required training and recency of experience, complying with the company Safety Management System (SMS), and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels. Additional important duties may be assigned depending on the position.

Requirements
- Applicants should have 4–6 years of experience.
- Prior corporate or business aviation experience is preferred.
- An FAA type rating in the applicable fleet is required, and candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- The stated minimum time requirements are 3,500 hours total flight time, 1,500 hours Multi Engine Land (MEL), 2,000 hours Pilot in Command time, 500 hours PIC MEL, 300 hours instrument time, and 500 hours jet time.
- The position operates a Gulfstream 650 under Part 91.
- Executive Jet Management also conducts pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
