About This Role
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company and NetJets subsidiary, is seeking a Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream 280 based at Bridgeport-Sikorsky Airport, Connecticut (KBDR). The two-pilot Part 91 owner account is supported by a Maintenance Technician and operates on a steady schedule. The PIC has final responsibility for safe, compliant, efficient aircraft operation and for delivering a high-quality service experience to owners and passengers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Pilot in Command holds final responsibility for safe, compliant, and efficient flight operations. Duties include ensuring crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements
- completing flight planning, aircraft performance, and weight-and-balance tasks
- leading required Threats, Plans and Considerations briefings
- following company SOPs
- coordinating with company personnel
- and acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator. The PIC completes aircraft pre-flight tasks, checks maintenance status, records discrepancies, monitors ground servicing such as fueling, oil, and oxygen, and conducts passenger briefings. The role delivers attentive service to owners and passengers, accommodates special passenger needs, uses CRM and TEM during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations, investigates and resolves service deviations, collaborates with crew and internal partners, and handles conflicts appropriately. The PIC must also maintain regulatory and company-required training and recency, comply with the company SMS program, and report safety or non-compliance concerns through the proper channels.

Requirements
- Candidates should have 4–6 years of experience, with prior corporate or business aviation experience preferred.
- An FAA type rating in the applicable fleet is required, and applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum flight-time requirements are 3,500 hours total flight time, 1,500 hours of multi-engine land time, 2,000 hours of pilot-in-command time, 500 hours of PIC multi-engine land time, 300 hours of instrument time, and 500 hours of jet time.
