About This Role
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a NetJets subsidiary and Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a Pilot in Command (Captain) for a Falcon 2000EX EASy based in Austin, TX (KAUS). This is an established EJM account adding a third pilot to support its flying schedule; the aircraft flies approximately 500 hours per year under EJM's Part 135 certificate. The role is NOT commutable — pilots must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Austin area. As Pilot in Command, the successful candidate holds final responsibility for operating the aircraft safely, compliantly and efficiently while complying with all company and regulatory requirements and delivering an exceptional service experience to owners and passengers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe operation of every flight: verify that crewing and trip assignments are compliant with company and regulatory requirements
- complete flight planning, performance, and weight-and-balance tasks for each assignment
- use the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risk
- comply with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate with company personnel as required
- act as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator per company policy
- complete all pre-flight tasks including checking the maintenance status to ensure the aircraft is mission capable
- record all aircraft discrepancies per SOPs
- monitor and complete ground servicing items (fueling, oil, oxygen) per SOPs
- conduct passenger briefings per policy and regulation
- deliver a high level of customer service including meeting special passenger needs
- and apply Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations. Deliver an exceptional service experience: provide quality service to owners and passengers, identify opportunities to enhance the EJM experience, investigate and resolve service deviations, collaborate with fellow crew members and internal partners, and resolve conflict appropriately. Maintain proficiency and compliance: keep regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience current, comply with the company Safety Management System (SMS), and report safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.

Requirements
- Prior Part 135 experience. Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Austin, TX area (this is not a commutable position). An FAA type rating in the Falcon 2000EX EASy is preferred but not required. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position. Minimum time requirements: total flight time 3,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL) 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command 2,000 hours
- PIC Multi-Engine Land 500 hours
- Instrument 300 hours
- Jet 500 hours. Applicants who do not meet these PIC time requirements may still apply and will be evaluated against EJM's Second in Command (SIC) requirements. Pre-employment drug screening and background checks apply.
