About This Role
NetJets is hiring a West Region First Officer to provide safe, technically accurate, and highly personalized private-aircraft transportation. The pilot serves as both aircraft operator and customer-facing service professional, managing flight safety and regulatory compliance while welcoming Owners and passengers, supporting onboard service, handling baggage and pets, and maintaining a polished concierge-level experience throughout each trip.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The First Officer is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi through takeoff and landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, manufacturer checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual or Aircraft Operating Manual, and standard operating practices.
- Duties include greeting Owners and passengers before flight, making introductions, briefing passengers on the trip and itinerary, providing weather updates and safety briefings, explaining itinerary changes, delivering in-flight service including alcohol and catering when needed, loading and properly stowing baggage, handling flights involving pets and passengers who smoke, and acting as the final authority on the aircraft for operational, safety, and regulatory compliance matters.
- The pilot also serves as the liaison between Owners, passengers, and NetJets from arrival at the departure FBO through departure from the destination FBO, reports maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the fleet Maintenance Control Center, completes associated maintenance paperwork, and performs other duties assigned according to the position.

Requirements
- Applicants must have a high school education, a written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), a First Class Medical Certificate, and either an FAA ATP, a Restricted ATP, or eligibility to meet FAA ATP or R-ATP requirements under 61.160. The stated experience pathways are 1,500 hours total flight time, 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate
- applicants must also have 200 hours of cross-country flight time, 250 hours of fixed-wing PIC time, 100 hours of night flying or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings, 75 hours of instrument time excluding simulator time, a completed ATP written examination before indoctrination training, and 50 hours of fixed-wing multi-engine time. Additional requirements include a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate, FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit, valid United States passport, unrestricted authorization to work in the United States and travel internationally, a valid state driver's license, English fluency, airport and Customs security badges, successful TSA background screening, flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, changing schedules, long duty periods, and extended hotel stays, and the ability to manage rest for flight duty. Candidates must be service-oriented, well-groomed, strong communicators, capable of making quick and accurate decisions under pressure, attentive to technical and passenger-service details, able to exert the stated physical forces, work around animals, and conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
