About This Role
NetJets is hiring a South Region First Officer to provide safe, technically accurate private air transportation and an exceptional Owner and passenger experience. The Pilot serves as the face of NetJets, combining professional flight operations and command responsibility with concierge-level service, passenger assistance, and in-flight hospitality.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The First Officer is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi through takeoff and landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual or Aircraft Operating Manual, and standard operating practices. Duties include greeting Owners and passengers before departure, making introductions, briefing them on the flight and itinerary, providing weather updates and safety briefings, and explaining itinerary changes. The Pilot provides in-flight service as needed, including handling alcohol and catering, loads and properly stows baggage, and conducts flights involving pets and smoking Owners. The Pilot is the final authority on the aircraft for operational, safety, and regulatory compliance matters
- acts as the liaison between Owners, passengers, NetJets, and the FBO throughout the trip
- communicates maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the fleet Maintenance Control Center
- completes associated maintenance paperwork
- and performs other duties assigned according to the position.

Requirements
- Applicants must have a high school education and hold or qualify for an FAA ATP or Restricted ATP with a multi-engine rating under 61.160.
- Accepted experience pathways include 1,500 hours total flight time, 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- The role requires 200 hours of cross-country flight time, 250 hours of fixed-wing PIC time, 100 hours of night flying or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings, 75 hours of instrument time excluding simulator time, and 50 hours of fixed-wing multi-engine time.
- The ATP written examination must be completed before indoctrination training.
- Candidates must hold a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate, FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit, valid United States passport, unrestricted U.S. work authorization and international travel authorization, a valid state driver's license, and the required airport or Customs security badges.
- They must pass TSA background screening, read, write, speak, and understand English fluently, work varying day, night, weekend, and holiday schedules, manage rest for flight duty, and remain flexible during trips that may last up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days, span time zones and severe weather differences, and require seven or more nights away from home.
- The role also requires a neat, well-groomed, service-oriented presence, strong written and oral communication, quick and accurate decision-making, attention to technical and passenger-service detail, the ability to handle animals and flights for smoking Owners, and the ability to exert the stated physical forces to move objects.
