About This Role
NetJets is seeking a First Officer for its East Region operation. The pilot provides safe, technically accurate air transportation under FAA requirements, aircraft checklists, company flight manuals and standard operating practices. The role also represents NetJets directly to Owners and passengers, combining professional flight operations with personalized, concierge-level service, including passenger briefings, itinerary coordination and in-flight hospitality. The pilot remains in command of the aircraft and is expected to maintain a consistently professional demeanor.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the assigned aircraft safely from taxi through takeoff and landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual or Aircraft Operating Manual, and standard operating practices. Greet Owners and passengers before departure, make introductions, brief them on the flight and itinerary, provide weather updates and safety briefings, and explain itinerary changes. Provide in-flight service as needed, including catering and the handling of alcohol
- load and properly stow baggage
- and conduct flights for Owners who travel with pets or smoke. Act as the final authority on the aircraft for operational, safety and regulatory compliance matters. Serve as the liaison between Owners, passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO through departure at the destination FBO. Report maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the fleet Maintenance Control Center controller and complete the associated paperwork. Perform other duties assigned according to the position and assignment.

Requirements
- Applicants must have a high school education and hold or qualify for an FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate, including a Restricted ATP pathway, with a multi-engine rating.
- The accepted total-flight-time pathways are 1,500 hours, 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, 1,000 hours with a military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- Required experience also includes 200 hours of cross-country flight time, 250 hours of fixed-wing PIC time, 100 hours of night flying or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings, 75 hours of instrument time excluding simulator time, and 50 hours of fixed-wing multi-engine time.
- The ATP written examination must be completed before Indoctrination Training.
- Candidates must hold a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate, FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit, valid United States passport, valid state driver's license and unrestricted authorization to work in the United States and travel internationally.
- They must be able to pass TSA background screening, obtain airport authority and/or U.S.
- Customs security badges, work days, nights, weekends and holidays, manage rest for flight duty, and remain away from home for seven or more days and nights.
- The role requires fluent English, strong oral and written communication, sound judgment under pressure, attention to technical and service details, a neat and professional appearance, the ability to handle animals and flights involving smoking passengers, and the physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds frequently or 10 pounds constantly.
