About This Role
Talon Air is recruiting a Captain for a Challenger 604 position in its Farmingdale, New York-based Part 135 operation. The company has operated for more than 25 years and runs a fleet of 40+ aircraft spanning Global, Gulfstream, Challenger, Falcon, Hawker and G-series platforms; most pilots are home-based and airlined to and from the aircraft for each rotation. The role involves domestic and international assignments on a consistent 12/8 schedule, with stated mobility into larger-cabin aircraft, Part 91 accounts, check airman roles and leadership positions. Total compensation is stated as $200,000+ with full benefits.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for safe and efficient flight operations on domestic and international trip assignments conducted under 14 CFR Part 91 and Part 135, while maintaining a high level of customer service. Duties include maintaining a high degree of crew coordination and performing all duties professionally, efficiently and cordially
- greeting passengers and assisting with passenger seating and luggage storage
- conducting passenger briefings and responding to passenger requests and needs
- following the duties and responsibilities in all company procedures manuals
- maintaining a current first-class medical certificate as required by Talon Air policy
- notifying the company if a physical or mental medical condition may impair the ability to perform flight duties
- and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Applicants should be qualified Captains on a similar or smaller aircraft and must hold an ATP, at least 3,000 hours of total flight time, 1,000 hours of multi-engine-land (MEL) time, 750 hours of PIC time and 150 hours of instrument time. The posting prefers 500+ hours of MEL PIC time and one year of Part 135 experience. Applicants must also hold an FAA first-class medical certificate and a valid passport. - working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135 and Part 91
- thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO and other international flight-operations regulations
- strong organizational skills and advanced multitasking ability
- strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- and computer proficiency with word-processing software, iPads, email and web-based or mobile-device applications. A background check and drug screen are required for hire.
