About This Role
Corporate flight department role at Pacific Seafood for a Captain (Pilot in Command) reporting to the Chief Pilot and operating company aircraft — a Gulfstream 280 mid-cabin jet — under company policies, procedures and the Federal Aviation Regulations. The Captain holds final authority and responsibility for the safety and operation of each flight, provides excellent service to passengers, clients and guests, and completes recurrent pilot and safety training as well as assigned non-flying departmental duties in support of flight operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out pre-flight planning (weather, aircraft performance, weight and balance, NOTAMs and flight plans) and customs procedures for international flights
- perform pre-flight inspections, conduct safety briefings, execute the flight safely and proficiently, complete a post-flight inspection, and relay any maintenance issues to the Chief Pilot. Train on and stay current with federal regulations, aircraft systems, normal and emergency procedures, surface contamination and cold-weather operations, high-altitude operations, crew resource management and international operations. Provide excellent service to passengers, clients and guests — greeting passengers, assisting with luggage and special needs, and briefing them on the aircraft's safety equipment and amenities. Perform non-flying duties including crew and passenger travel arrangements, servicing and cleaning the aircraft, database updates, and keeping the aircraft plus medical and emergency kits and stores stocked. Maintain a current ATP and at least a second-class medical, abide by the company drug and alcohol policy (no alcohol within eight hours of flying), and follow and enforce good safety practices.

Requirements
- read, write and speak English at ICAO Operational Level 4
- hold a second-class FAA medical certificate or better
- hold a valid US passport
- hold an unrestricted FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land (AMEL) rating
- and hold a PIC type rating for the Gulfstream 280 or have significant mid-cabin jet PIC experience. Minimum logged flight time: 3,500 hours total flight time
- 1,000 hours multi-engine
- 1,000 hours turboprop, turbofan and/or turbojet
- 500 hours PIC turbofan and/or turbojet (recent)
- and 250 hours PIC in make and model (Gulfstream 280) or equivalent mid-cabin jet (recent). Must meet all FAA physical requirements and be able to lift 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Alaska flying experience and international flying experience.
