About This Role
The Lear 60 Captain (Pilot in Command) provides safe, technically accurate air transportation and an exceptional service experience for executive jet charter guests at Jetvia. The Captain is the final authority on the aircraft, supervises the First Officer and crew, serves as Inflight Security Coordinator, and represents Jetvia with executive clients. Home-based position with no relocation required.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, take-off, and landing per FAA guidelines and Jetvia SOPs
  • conducts thorough flight planning including weather reviews
  • calculates and reviews aircraft weight and balance, fuel planning, and performance data
  • greets guests pre-flight and provides safety briefings
  • acts as the final authority (Pilot in Command)
  • supervises and directs the First Officer and coordinates assigned crew
  • serves as the Inflight Security Coordinator
  • maintains the aircraft's professional appearance and ensures pre-flight inspections
  • communicates maintenance discrepancies and completes required paperwork.
Requirements
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  • Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time with 500 hours multi-engine time
  • Lear 60 Type Rating with 300 hours Lear 60 PIC
  • ability to work varying hours including days, nights, weekends, and rotating holidays
  • live within driving distance of a Jetvia crew base
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3,000 hours total time and 1,000 hours multi-engine time
  • previous Part 135 operational experience as Pilot in Command.
