About This Role
TransMedics is accepting resumes for Phenom 300 Second-In-Command positions throughout the United States, with a currently higher need on the East Coast. The First Officer supports the Captain in the safe operation of the aircraft and complies with FAA regulations, the Company Flight Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, letters of authorization, flight manuals, and other applicable company procedures. The role combines flight operations, aircraft airworthiness and maintenance coordination, accurate completion of flight and passenger records, security coordination, client itinerary support, operational delay mitigation, aircraft servicing, and strict confidentiality regarding client and security matters.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The First Officer conducts aircraft operations and related assignments in accordance with the General Operations Manual and company manuals. Duties include completing flight, aircraft, and passenger records accurately and on time
- assisting the Captain
- complying with flight- and duty-time limits and required rest periods
- reviewing the Flight/Maintenance Log and Form MF-9/MR-10, including MR-9 or MR-10 as applicable, to verify aircraft airworthiness
- coordinating required maintenance with appropriate personnel
- and ensuring completion of preflight, post-flight, and routine aircraft servicing. The role also requires stocking and cleaning the aircraft, coordinating client itinerary changes with the Operations Control Center, and performing Ground and In-flight Security Coordinator duties under 40 CFR 1544.215(b-c). The First Officer identifies and addresses actual or potential delays related to scheduling, crew legality, and maintenance, recommends process and communication improvements, maintains strict confidentiality in client aircraft operations and sensitive security matters, and performs other TransMedics tasks and duties as necessary.

Requirements
- Applicants must have 1,500 hours of total flight time and be able to lift 75 lbs. up a flight of aircraft stairs.
- The qualifications call for working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135 and Part 91, basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, iOS, and other internet-based programs, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidates must hold a Commercial AMEL certificate with an Instrument Rating, a current First Class Medical, a clean record, a valid and unrestricted passport, and an ATP certificate.
- Applicants must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, already hold a type rating in any type of aircraft, and have previous captain experience in any type of aircraft.
- The posting also requires completion of initial or recurrent training phases within the preceding 12 months.
