About This Role
RAVN Aerospace is seeking former military pilots with tactical aviation experience for part-time flying assignments supporting defense and aerospace missions. Depending on qualifications and program assignment, pilots may support adversary air, contracted close air support, research and development, test and evaluation, flight training, operational test support, and aircraft development programs. The role provides an opportunity to train U.S. military personnel and partner nations while operating demanding tactical aircraft in a safety-focused, disciplined, and mission-oriented flight operations environment. Assignments may involve varied locations, travel, irregular hours, and aircraft or mission requirements determined by operational and contractual needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The RAVN Aerospace Flight Operations Department supports military training, adversary air, research and development, test and evaluation, flight training, and specialized tactical aviation missions. The pilot will fly tactical jets and, depending on qualifications and program assignment, may conduct adversary air, contracted close air support, research, development, test and evaluation, operational test support, flight training, or aircraft development missions. The position supports the training of U.S. military personnel and partner nations and requires precision, professionalism, sound judgment, teamwork, tactical excellence, and mission focus on every sortie. - comply with company, contractual, aviation, and defense requirements
- and perform duties in aircraft, hangar, ramp, and flight-line environments. Work may include evening, weekend, holiday, overnight, travel, and other assignments based on operational, departmental, and contractual requirements, along with other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Applicants must be former military pilots with tactical aviation experience and a demonstrated commitment to safety, professionalism, sound judgment, and mission accomplishment.
- They must be able to work effectively in a disciplined, team-oriented flight operations environment and maintain the qualifications, medical certifications, training, and currency required for assigned aircraft and missions.
- The role requires compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable federal aviation and defense regulations, as well as availability for flight schedules involving travel and irregular hours.
- Pilots must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances, installation access, and airport credentials when required.
- Desired experience includes fighter, attack, adversary air, close air support, flight test, developmental test, operational test, or advanced flight training environments.
- Military instructor pilot, evaluator pilot, flight lead, mission commander, test pilot, or weapons officer experience is also desired, together with experience supporting Department of Defense or allied military aviation programs.
- Strong communication, briefing, debriefing, and crew resource management skills, humility, teamwork, tactical excellence, continuous learning, and adaptability to varied aircraft, missions, customers, locations, and program requirements are valued.
- Candidates must also meet applicable work authorization, driving, background, security, medical, and access requirements.
